Since 1977, ICOA France has manufactured flexible polyurethane foam, in block, sheet and pre-cut form for the furniture industry. In 1990 ICOA France became part of Vita and has since taken full advantage of the groups' synergies.
Area of expertise: polyurethane foam
A manufacturing plant dedicated to polyurethane manufacturing; due to the fact that polyurethane foam is a bulky material rendering handling and transportation difficult, ICOA's production site was designed with these constraints in mind.
The foam is first prepared in 30m long blocks, and then automatically transferred to the maturing zone, before being transferred for cutting and shaping, ahead of shipment.
The efficiency of this particular manufacturing process, combined with optimized control, enables ICOA to respond to its customer's requests quickly and at the best prices.
ICOA produces nearly 10,000 tons of polyurethane foam every year, not only for the furniture and bedding industry, but also for childcare and sporting industries.
ICOA possesses a real expertise in the manufacturing and conversion of polyurethane foam. The product development team at Vita, and the engineers and "foamer" technicians based at the manufacturing plant, work closely together to offer a complete range of "comfort" foam for furniture and bedding specialists.
ICOA's range of in-house cutting machinery is so extensive, production possibilities are endless. We work in partnership with our customers to develop a personalised case study guaranteeing a finished or semi-finished product, which adhere to the most detailed specifications.
Vitallia Mattresses
Consumers are becoming more and more demanding in terms of their comfort needs. ICOA responds to these demands by offering a complete range of bonded cores for mattresses, under the brand name Vitallia.
The bringing together of different foams with complimentary properties provides an optimal solution for comfort and orthopedic needs.
